Master of Arts in Career Counseling

North Carolina Central University offers a Career Counseling program intended to guide students into succeeding to provide services in a variety of sectors. This program is fully accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and is an endorsed member of the International Registry of Counselor Education Programs (IRCEP). This program is the only CACREP online career program in the nation and one of ten CACREP accredited programs in the United States.

This program is entirely online, except for attendance for two residencies. It aims to prepare students to work as career development professionals with people of all ages in numerous settings includings K-12 schools, colleges and universities, nonprofit organizations, and private companies. Three residencies are required as part of the study. The first residency is completed online via videoconferencing software. The second and third residencies are on-campus.
